GREAT TOY! My dog absolutely loves it! She's a chewer & this has proven to be VERY DURABLE! September 2, 2010 Caroline I purchased the extra large toy for my pit bull. She's 5 years old, about 45 pounds, and can tear through almost any toy within a matter of minutes! I was concerned that she would quickly destroy this toy but I purchased it when it was on sale for a REALLY GOOD PRICE...I figured it wasn't much of a financial loss if she destroyed it and she'd have fun with it anyway :) Well, to my surprise, the toy has been going strong for over 3 months now! She plays with it almost daily and has finally managed to chew a small hole towards the top of it, but it still has a lot of play time remaining. The material that it is wrapped in is very durable, there aren't even any rips/marks in the "octopus" legs on it! It is a great size and a wonderfully unique shaped toy...I like for my dog to have variety amongst her toys, but due to her ability to chew them apart so quickly I usually only have a few select toys to choose from. I am very happy that I found this toy to add to my dog's toy bin collection! I would definitely recommend this toy, and I will definitely buy it again once my dog has finally managed to destroy this one...which looks like it's going to be quite a while from now :)
30 Seconds at most August 19, 2010 Ryan L. Coles I bought this for our black lab thinking that it would be as durable as a regular Kong. Literally 30 seconds after we gave it to our dog, there was a hole in the top exposing the insides. By the way, the inside of this toy look to be nothing more than an oddly shaped tennis ball (NOT a Kong toy).
I expected more from something that cost around $15 (Petco). The $5 cheap toy we bought has outlasted this product. We took it back to Petco the next day and got our money back.
Horrible waste of money August 16, 2010 Givnstar (USA) I can't express how disappointed we were in this toy. This "Kong" product is not strong at all. The material tore in less than one day of playtime. Our dog is a half Boston Terrier, half Bull Dog. When purchasing this toy, by the shape of the product and the name, we assumed a Kong was inside. However, there is a small tennis ball and a squeaky ball. The tennis ball was popped by the end of the night. What a waste of money.
Dog's Favorite Toy August 8, 2010 J. D. (State College, PA) My dog LOVES this toy! Its definitely not a chew toy--we use it strictly as a toy to play fetch, and for that purpose it works great--its easy to throw, and its big and bright enough that she can find where it lands with no problem--I have a red one. I guess a stick would serve the same purpose if you don't want to spend the money, but my dog really enjoys that this has a squeaker!
The fabric could be stronger, because on the first day she played with it she had ripped a few stitches out of one of the seams just from biting down to squeak it (she's a 50 lb pitbull/hound mix who's still in her puppy years). Even with that little rip in the stitching, the toy is still holding up really well and it doesn't look like it will fall apart any time soon. The tear isn't even very noticeable unless you already know that its there.
Because we're using it as an outside toy, it is getting dirty. But the dog doesn't care, she would eat dirt if we'd let her. I don't think you can choose your color from amazon.com, it says colors vary. But if you go to a pet store you would have a choice (but you'd also probably pay more-I've seen them for up to $8-$10 in pet stores). Red is great because it shows up in the yard really well. Blue or purple would be harder to spot in the yard, but the dirt would be hidden more.
She loves this thing so much, she is very reluctant to bring it back for me to throw it again! If I try to take it from her, she'll run around like a nut so I can't take her Wubba away. I feel it was worth the money and I will buy her a spare in case this one breaks.
Kong Wubba Dog Toy August 2, 2010 Peggy This is Willow's favorite toy for inside and outside. It has held up to tug of war and being thrown across the yard. It is the first thing she picks up when we walk in the house.
